Shaw signs for Wrens

Kevin Gee, manager of Evo-Stik League Division One South side Rainworth MW, has swooped to snap up former Mansfield Town and Tamworth midfielder Curtis Shaw.

Shaw, 24, left Blue Square Bet Premier club Tamworth because of the travelling involved at that level and had been playing for Hucknall Town.

Having left the Watnall Road club he is understood to have been trialling with Notts County, but his situation there was in limbo following their shock change of management at Meadow Lane this week.

Shaw, who has also played for Carlton Town, will be available for tonight's match against league leaders Grantham Town.
