Magera off to Czeck

Swindon striker Lukas Magera has rejoined Banik Ostrava on loan until the end of the season.

The Czech striker returns to his old club having failed to make the impact expected of him at the County Ground since his summer transfer.

"We are glad that the transfer of Luke has come to a successful conclusion, this is another important step to salvation," Ostrava team owner Pet Šafarcik said on Banik's official website.

Magera did not travel with the Swindon development squad to a fixture on Tuesday, instead spending the day finalising the switch back to his homeland.

Banik even called in the services of former AC Milan player Marek Jankulovski to convince Paolo Di Canio to part with Magera.

"I would like to thank Marek Jankulovski who played a big role in getting Magera. He managed to convince Paolo Di Canio to release Luke and the move happened very quickly," added Šafarcik.
