After another Cup run beset with success and controversy in equal measure Kettering chairman Imraan Ladak announced he would step aside and surprise surprise there have been no takers. Thus as owner he still effectively runs the club. Player-manager Lee Harper having guided the Poppies to 6th and a playoff berth last year has had to cut his cloth this, as Elding and notable other loans left Rockingham Road
This has not stopped him bringing in 9 players including Aaron Griffiths from Aston Villa, Nick Wright from Tamworth , Danny Lewis from Redditch, Lee Vaughan from AFC Telford, Brian Smikle from Cheltenham and Keith Briggs from Stalybridge; all on frees. Free agents Matty Blair, Callum Gittings and Michael Briscoe are also very useful additions.
Although the club is not as awash with cash as it was midtable should be the least they achieve as there are some good players at the club. However if Ladak rekindles his love affair with the club who knows?
